How we rate the games?
Payday 2 is a first person shooter game. Apart from that, you can cooperate with your friends via online connection or play with the computer locally. There is a lot to choose and upgrade and ironically, even though I am not a FPS fan, this game made me play it a lot.
The gameplay is not just to go and kill your enemy, as vaguely happens to a lot of games, but you have a mission. Each mission has its own difficulty and depending on what you are doing, you might end up with a lot of cash or die without winning anything. You are not alone though, you will always have your friends, with whom you will be able to complete the mission. Your friends and cooperation with them, it is key to success. You can even revive them for a short period of time and they will come back to life to proudly help you like real friends. That doesn't always happen with real life friends though, but with the computer AI it always happens!
You are not going to die immediately, since even your friends can revive you. Depending on the difficulty of a mission, your AI friends will be so busy attacking the enemy, which might turn out, not helping you at all. All I have to say, is fate. If that is with you, you will surely complete the mission. Even the chosen missions will randomly generate safe boxes and cameras. The cameras will try to sound alarms as soon as possible, if you are seen by them, of course. The people will try to run away and scream or call the police, this is why you will have to tide them up. Another interesting item is the drill, which can be used to open safe boxes.
The graphics are very good and don't really require any powerful PC, since it ran perfectly fine on 1080p (Full high definition resolution of 1920px x 1080px) using my 6770HD graphic card. I was actually using other programs while recording and everything seemed pretty smooth. It didn't have any great effects though, but I wouldn't argue about that, since the gameplay was really amazing.
The optimization was good, but not perfect. Sometimes the AI didn't react as needed, like the guards with a shield, which were attacked always in the front and that means your good AI friends are going to die pretty fast. AI didn't use any drills or put any bombs. They didn't even tie up any hostages or take any money, leaving them up like frozen beings. Another weird thing, was to revive your friends behind walls, even though you were on the other side of the wall, you could just press F to help them. The same thing happened with the watchdogs mission, where you could get the coke below the truck.
You can use the skills which will be on your good side and depending on its tier, the more it will need to unlock, but the better the reward will be. It really depends though, on what you want to do, especially at first, when you don't have any abilities. At the end of each successful mission, you can select on of the three cards shown before you. In the middle, it usually gives a new mask or a new weapon upgrade. It can happen to win money, but that is somewhat occasional. If you loose the mission though, you will loose nearly everything you have developed during that mission.
Overall the game is very good, but it surely needs more optimization. I would have appreciated that the AI was much better than that and you could do more advanced stuff, like moving people around and not just killing them and letting them there. There is the bag though, but that is unlocked later on the skills menu. The firearms too lacked somewhat good stuff, since after the first upgrade I didn't see any good improvements. It is your choice to buy or not this game, but in the end it all boils down to cooperation.
