How we rate the games?
Dark Souls 2 gives to the player what really missed in the previous game. This time the game is much more difficult, but more rewarding, especially when defeating bosses. If you die a lot of times, you will eventually have your hitpoints halved and this is not a good thing. Fortunately, there are rings or items which will allow you to bring back those lost hitpoints. The more you progress in the game, the more difficult it becomes, but the more levelled up you will be.
As for the graphics, the game has not improved so much, not saying at all. Still, the giant 3D models are quite the excuisite part of the game and every gamer would be eager to defeat those enemies. Fortunately, for all PC players, this game is going to be played steadily without any problems at 30FPS. Depending on your video card model, according to others, this game would be running quite well at high graphics, but for our case you can play with all high without any problems with a 6770HD.
Not many potential changes were made to the controls, so if you already played the first one, this one is going to be even easier to control. The game seems very difficult, especially if you don't know the controls of the game. As the game begins you get to choose a class which can be changed later on in the game. By choosing the warrior who has a sword and a shield, you can protect yourself and attack. Stamina is reknown to be the most important attribute of the game, but according to us, all attributes have their own importance and it also depends on which class you choose to play with. Usually strength, finesse, vitality are the most important if you want to attack and shield yourself with some heavy weapons.
Each weapon has its own multiplier, from S to E (best to worst). One thing which was not so clear at the beginning, was that when choosing another weapon it showed B with blue for example in the strength attribute. This means that this B is rated more than the current weapon you are wearing. If this B is red, then your weapon has a higher rating for strength attribute. The shield and armor will both have their own ratings to add resistance, so before choosing a weapon or armor just because it seems powerful, you will have to take a look also to the ratings of attributes.
The game seems to have a nice idea, situated in the medieval era and those giants just make the game look cool. The difficulty seems to be sky high and everybody will eventually die in this game more than hundreds of times and that is quite normal, until you reach a level where you are stronger and will die less than previously, especially when being against your previous enemies.
Overall the game seems very nice, very difficult and a lot of weaponry/armors. It is your own choice to choose this game or not, but bear in mind that playing this game is going to be tough. The game is also interesting for those of you who already played and loved the first one. Completing the game won't be an easy task.
