How we rate the games?
The most disappointing story is out now, Bioshock Infinite. Do you want to get baptized in a game? You are welcome to play the latest Bioshock, otherwise you can't play the game anyway! I thought it was a joke at first, but when I didn't have any other chance, but to get baptized, I thought that all gamers who play this, are going to get the baptism. This is somewhat ridiculous, but as always we have our own ideas and opinions for games, so let's review this one.
When I got Bioshock Infinite, I was really happy, especially with those amazing screens I had seen from videos around internet, but it came out the most stupid thing I have ever seen in video games. I had to get baptized to progress through the game, which is absolutely silly. The story didn't make any sense at all, because it was about a false shepherd who was... the player himself! Can you believe that the game tells the main character the false shepherd? It is impossible to think about it this way and I laughed so much to the ridiculous idea the story writers had.
When talking about graphics, optimization and gameplay it is a whole another story. I was amazed by the environments, textures, models, everything was perfect. There still might be high quality features which are not applied, but seriously you cannot get more than that. There was a place I thought I was watching real life and it was really impossible to believe it in a game. Better than this it can't be, seriously.
The time it took to open the game, loading screens, changing graphics and stuff like that, made me actually feel good while playing the game. There is a little bug though, but it doesn't always happen. It happened on my PC though, so I had to add the game's shortcut the XP compatibility mode. That wasn't really difficult to understand, but enough to block you from playing the game. The startup screen freezes in case this happens to you too.
Optimization has its good and bad though, so it's not perfect. I didn't like the idea of making the collision with some items, furniture, or humans like colliding to a box and didn't give you a chance to go through. If you try to jump in some circumstances, it won't let you go through and that is not professional, because the player has to have a very good freedom of the environment. There are other simple stuff which I don't know why didn't they apply a better technology for that.
Playing the game was really fun and it actually made you play a lot. It felt more like Dishonored, which was a great game, but unfortunately the Bioshock part was nearly deleted, a fact I don't really know why. It had nothing to do with the real Bioshock, which was a darker place to play. You have a lot of firearms, but no more than most games out there. When a boss gets defeated or when you reach an important mission, you can drink special beverage which powers you new abilities. These new abilities are all about magic and you can even use them to progress through the game, otherwise it will be impossible to beat the game. You can wear a specific vest which will enable you better abilities. There are different enemies, some of them might be tougher, some others get killed easily at their back.
The idea is the worst, sincerely. It is all about religion and stuff like that, but it is absolutely stupid to add it in a game. Even if it is added, it is not added in a good way and trying to baptize you is absolutely nonsense. Even if it is about religion, why there is so much evil and killings, if they wanted to tell you the right way. It doesn't make any sense, especially in a game like Bioshock. It reminded me of Devil May Cry 5 where they changed a lot of stuff in the game and it was amazingly rated low by the people.
