At the time of writting, these are the best tablets money can afford.
The iPad is undoubtebly the main reason why the tablet market exploded. A lot of costumers bought an iPad and now we have so many others that every single one of the major electronic companies is trying to have its own model. Packed up with a Quad-core graphics card and Dual-core A6X, iPad 3 is surely to give in some hot specs. It features a vast amount of languages for the operating system and even for Siri, the well-known voice application. iPad 3 is also known as iPad with retina display and at the time of speaking costs $499 for the 16GB Wifi version.
If you are looking for a tablet with an android solution, Galaxy Tab 3 is the way to go. Cool design in a well-known Galaxy trademark, will make you love it. As we all know, Galaxy is also the model name of the mobile phone from Samsung. It has a 10.1" Internal Display Size and has a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560. This might not be as powerful as the iPad but what could you want more in a tablet?
This tablet is the new Amazon's attempt to eat a piece of the cake from the other two giants. Creating a stunning Quad-Core 2.2 GHz, this tablet is sure to thrill you into making the right choice. It has a unique Operating System, which is kind of neat and packs front and back cameras, where the back-facing camera has 8MP quality. The screen size is 8.9", but this won't stop consumers from buying it and seems more mobile than the two other options.
Bear in mind that those tablets are the best because of their unique features and Operating Systems. Even though Samsung has Android OS, this doesn't remove it from being one of the best choices. Unfortunately for Microsoft, this is quite a punch to its Windows 8 RT Operating System. A lot of angry people have already switched and only time will tell if what they did was a good or bad choice, but it still stands away from the market share of these products.

I love the ipad air, it is so useful for college, as it is basically weightless and fits in with all my heavy text books, wthout me breaking my back. I don't like the kindle, I just find it not user friendly and the display is not up to the standard of the ipad. Ipad all the way!

The iPad Air is also a great tablet. I went to the Apple Store myself to review it hands on and I can say that it's much lighter than the other iPads and I can recommend buying it. You can see the comparison between the iPads on the Apple website. I hope to get the iPad Air for Christmas this year :)
